About the Role

Playhaus Kids Events is looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse & Event Operations Associate to help keep our party rental equipment clean, organized, and ready for each weekend's events.

This is a flexible part-time employee position starting at approximately 8 hours per week, with up to 20 hours available depending on the week and your availability. There is also an opportunity for the right person to grow into a 30–35 hour/week Driver & Warehouse Manager position as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Clean and sanitize party rental equipment after events
  • Inspect equipment for damage or maintenance needs
  • Organize equipment and maintain a clean warehouse
  • Prepare and stage orders for upcoming events
  • Load and unload vans and company vehicles
  • Double-check orders to ensure equipment is complete and ready to go
  • Assist with Saturday evening event pickups when available
  • Unload returned Saturday equipment and reload vehicles for Sunday events
  • Help keep our equipment looking clean, organized, and event-ready

Schedule

Weekdays: Hours are very flexible. Warehouse work can generally be completed on your own schedule during the week, including evening hours if preferred.

Weekends: Saturday evening availability is strongly encouraged but not required. Additional hours are typically available between 5:00 PM–11:00 PM on Saturdays helping with event pickups, unloading equipment, and preparing vehicles for Sunday events.

Most weeks will start at approximately 8 hours, with a total of 8–20 hours available depending on workload and availability.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean/reliable driving record and ability to drive company vehicles
  • Reliable transportation to our Newbury Park warehouse
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
  • Comfortable moving larger or bulky equipment with assistance
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
  • Willing to clean, organize, load, and unload equipment
  • Saturday evening availability is strongly preferred

Pay & Growth

Starting pay: $21–$23/hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.

We're a growing company and would love to find someone who wants to grow with us. For the right person, this position can develop into a Driver & Warehouse Manager role working approximately 30–35 hours per week across weekdays and weekends.

That role would include increased responsibility for warehouse organization, vehicle loading, event pickups and deliveries, equipment readiness, and overseeing our weekly warehouse workflow.
